What is the difference between encrypting a file and adding it to the secured area?
nokVAULT offers users two methods to secure their data. Encrypting a file is extremely safe; putting it in the Secure Area is the ultimate security.
Encrypting a file will secure the file contents and disable any accessibility to the file when the vault is closed. Even though encrypted files cannot be opened when the vault is closed, they will remain visible only as files located in your operating system.
For highly sensitive data, adding a file to the secured area will encrypt the file, then using proprietary algorithms and other techniques, will make the file undetectable by anyone on the computer and invisible in your operating system when the vault is closed.
