Can a system administrator or any user other than me view or copy my files?
No. Only the nokVAULT user who has the access password can open the vault. This is what makes nokVAULT so powerful!
nokVAULT-protected files are only accessible by the user who has either the access password or the license password. nokVAULT users are more powerful than the administrators and without the access or license password, no one else can open the vault and access the files. Administrative privileges on any machine or operating system do not give an administrator any right to open the vault or access any of the files protected by the vault, regardless of the operating system security policies applied to such files.
When the vault is closed, administrators like any other local machine user can only see the encrypted files in their location. They cannot read the file contents unless they know the passwords to open the vault or the key that encrypted the files. However, files in the Secure Area of the vault are invisible to administrators as well as inaccessible and untraceable.
