Reverse and Anti-reverse Engineering
Reverse engineering software is the process of taking apart a piece of software and analyzing its workings in detail in order to figure out how it does what it does.
Anti-reverse engineering techniques are therefore implemented in the software creation in order to make reverse engineering of such software extremely difficult or impossible. Utilizing anti-reverse engineering techniques is especially important in security software where reverse engineering is typically the only way to get around the security that the software provides to users.
